Leopold Wetland Management District
Wetlands, grasslands and woodland communities support a variety of songbirds, shorebirds, wading birds, and many species of mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. The vast area has a wild character. The signature species of the area includes Ruddy Duck, Eastern Bluebird and Blue-winged Teal. Rare species include Red-headed Woodpecker, Grasshopper Sparrow and Bobolink.
