"Friendly, great place to ski with plenty of restaurant choices. Has an intimate, down to earth feel, and easy to access trails. It's a little resort community of its own, and you might feel a little closed off since real civilization is over 30 min. away."

"I will never forget "The Wall". You may see the death symbol on a flag from bottom. Entering the cable car, the same. We have taken it as a challenge. To start on your snowboard needs a little concentration. But after the one and other cave it starts to get in a more easy terrain. Riding down in Californian sun on top of a snowboard was so much fun. The very well prepared ski runs. And all the little gifts from nature. We also enjoyed the good local food and drinks at the restaurants. On top: never forgotten scenic views. You see all the ski runs waiting for you."

"There was a snowstorm the night before so the conditions were amazing! The drive up was a through a canyon made of snow. Don't forget your snow tires or snow chains! The security checkpoints in the area won't let pass without them."

"Great Skiing area! Lots of diversity in the slope difficulty. Good snow and you can find a slope with sun on it all day long. Short waits at the lifts. The skiing lessons are awesome. We used lessons for toddlers, kids and a beginner lesson for grown ups. The pricing for lessons and lift tickets is on the higher end but still fair. Both kids made impressive progress during their lessons, the toddler went from first time on skis to the first real lift within one day. I reduce by one star because when it comes to food, lodging, or buying/renting something things get bizarre. As awesome the skiing instructors are as horrible is the staff in the resort lodge and the resort restaurants, also some of the administrative staff just don't want to help. For example three yo ride for free but still need a lift ticket, actually easy process but we needed to find the right person (thanks to Gina at the lesson registration desk!!) to simply do it. The person in the season pass office claimed it was not possible at all and sent us off. Literally everything costs double the price it would cost in a normal store in the next town, but you get a big deal of attitude with your credit card receipt. Tip: If you are sent off by unhelpful staff try to find a different person to help. The quality among the service staff is very diverse."

"Awesome place to ride. However Vail owns it and has cut back services so badly you better be self sufficient. Place needs a market open later than 5 pm and restaurants that don't shut down at will. "
